Symptom checklist
Answers stay in the page’s memory and are not submitted to a server. Refreshing or closing the page clears them. Downloading a summary creates a text file on your device.
Appointment planner
Entries stay in the page unless you choose “Save on this browser.” That action stores your plan in browser local storage. It is not encrypted by this application and may be accessible to other users of the same browser profile. “Clear plan & saved copy” removes that saved entry and resets the form. It does not remove files you have downloaded or printed.
Specialist search
The ZIP search sends your five-digit U.S. ZIP code to our server and the ThyroidEyes directory (Amgen) to retrieve nearby public professional listings. The request body is not added to analytics or a subscriber profile. The separate additional-practice filters run in page memory: names, location terms and filter selections are not submitted or saved. Following a practice or external-directory link sends a normal website request to that provider, which uses its own privacy terms.
Hosting and external resources
This site is available through Vercel and Sites. These hosting services may process normal connection information such as IP address and access logs. Private site access can also involve the hosting provider’s sign-in. We use system fonts, so no font provider receives a request. PostHog and Google Analytics count page visits and selected generic tool actions. Symptom answers, planner entries, email addresses, location inputs and link query strings are excluded. No session replay, advertising pixels or personalized advertising are enabled.
Accounts and community
Clerk processes account email addresses and authentication details for sign-in. Creating an account does not subscribe you to the email series. Your chosen public community alias is separate from your Clerk name, email and photo.
The community uses a dedicated Supabase database to store aliases, discussions, replies and reports. Approved contributions are public. Pending contributions and report reasons have restricted access. Your Clerk user ID is stored for ownership checks and permissions; it is not shown in public community records. Do not post identifiers or details you would not want publicly associated with your alias.
The server keeps minimal moderation audit records and uses HMAC-derived user keys for rate limits. Rate-limit buckets older than 48 hours are cleaned up during writes. The forum database does not store raw IP addresses. Hosting services may retain ordinary connection logs separately.
Use the community contribution-removal control to clear your contribution text, alias, profile and personal reports. Original record IDs and minimal audit entries remain for integrity. Deleting a Clerk account and removing forum contributions are separate actions; account deletion does not automatically erase forum content. Community text, aliases, user IDs, reports and drafts are excluded from analytics.
Email education series
If you opt in, Resend processes your email address to deliver a confirmation link and four education emails over one week. The series starts only after confirmation. Every guide includes an unsubscribe link. We do not add symptom answers or appointment notes to your email record.
