Infusion time is not total appointment time. Ask about arrival, preparation, clinical checks, observation, travel and time away from work. Your team supplies the actual dates and may adjust the plan.
At label intervals, an illustrative Tepezza schedule is weeks 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 and 21; Lumvoa is weeks 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12. These are mathematical illustrations, not personal schedules. Tepezza’s week-21 last scheduled infusion is different from a week-24 study assessment.

Compare monitoring as carefully as convenience
Both labels warn about infusion reactions, inflammatory bowel disease, high blood glucose and hearing impairment that can sometimes be permanent. Hearing needs assessment before, during and after treatment. Tell your team about hearing changes, diabetes or high blood sugar, bowel disease, all medicines, and pregnancy or breastfeeding plans.
The labels advise contraception during treatment and for six months after the last dose for women who can become pregnant. Ask your clinician to explain the plan for your circumstances.
The current label also warns about encephalopathy, a serious problem affecting brain function. Ask the team to explain concerning signs and symptoms and the instruction to seek immediate medical attention.
This table omits important label detail and is not a full safety document. Read each complete current prescribing document with your care team. The drug-specific guides explain Tepezza and Lumvoa / veligrotug in more detail.

What this comparison cannot establish
These label summaries do not establish that one medicine works better or is safer for you; separate studies enrolled different people and used different designs. This research has not established a head-to-head trial. Adverse-reaction rates from separate trials cannot be used as a direct safety contest.
A shorter series may matter for time and travel. A newer approval or a difference in warning headings does not by itself establish a better outcome. Ask how the evidence relates to the problem your team is trying to improve and what remains uncertain.

Check access and keep other care options in view
Not everyone with TED needs one of these biologics. Care may involve supportive treatment, corticosteroids or other clinician-selected anti-inflammatory approaches, and surgery. The treatment overview explains the broader categories. They have different purposes and are not interchangeable.
Ask who verifies the actual medicine, prescriber, infusion site and plan policy before scheduling. A public specialist profile does not establish individual drug availability or network status. The cost and insurance worksheet helps separate medicine, administration, facility and monitoring charges.
